Modern Charcoal Subway Bath Wall Tile

Material & Feature Breakdown

The bathroom showcases glossy ceramic subway tiles in a deep charcoal shade applied to the wall surrounding the bathtub in a classic running bond pattern, finished with thin, white contrasting grout. The floor is finished in large format matte porcelain tiles with a striking geometric design in white and black, using medium-width, charcoal grout that enhances the boldness of the floor pattern. Beyond the bathroom, the adjoining bedroom features a herringbone pattern accent wall constructed from small-format natural stone tiles in varying shades of gray, utilizing thin gray grout.

Designed as part of CLIENT NEWPORT VIII by Brooke Wagner Design in Corona Del Mar, CA, this space delivers an elevated, modern ambiance with carefully coordinated tile surfaces. The interplay of glossy charcoal subway wall tile and geometric porcelain flooring creates an eye-catching focal point that feels both sophisticated and inviting. The crisp grout lines and material transitions further define these luxurious surfaces, resulting in a bathroom that is contemporary yet timeless while complementing transitional elements seen in the connected bedroom suite.
