Contemporary Beige Porcelain Shower Wall Tile

Material & Feature Breakdown

This bathroom tile design features three primary surfaces: the main floor, shower walls, and shower floor. The bathroom floor and shower floor use porcelain tiles in a neutral gray, both with a matte finish and subtle stone-inspired texture. The floor tiles are medium square (approx. 12x12), while the shower floor employs smaller mosaic-like squares (approx. 2x2) for slip resistance. Shower walls highlight large-format 12x24 beige porcelain tiles, stacked horizontally for a seamless, contemporary appearance, with a smooth finish echoing natural stone. All edges are straight for a crisp look; grout is thin and mostly color-matched except for the floor, which features a gentle contrast.

This modern yet warm bathroom is part of the Two Is Better Than One Contemporary Interior project by MAK Design + Build Inc., located in Davis, CA. The space delivers a serene, high-end feel with its balanced combination of large-format stacked beige shower tiles and practical, textured gray porcelain floors. The clean lines, subtle color palette, and concurrent use of matte finishes help create a unified, open atmosphere—perfect for contemporary living with functional durability and timeless appeal.
