Modern Blue and Marble Shower Wall Tile

Material & Feature Breakdown

This bathroom showcases a defined two-tone scheme on the shower walls—crisp blue glazed ceramic subway tiles run horizontally along the upper wall, while classic white and gray veined marble rectangles clad the lower shower walls and built-in bench. The tiles are medium and small format, set in a running bond and stacked layout, finished with a combination of glossy (blue) and matte/polished (marble) surfaces. Edges are clean-cut and rectified for modern appeal, and the grout mid-tones blend seamlessly for a unified palette.

With its striking use of contrasting blue ceramic and elegant marble, this walk-in shower in the Altadena Modern Farmhouse captures a modern yet inviting farmhouse aesthetic. Created by Coco Maison Design in La Canada, CA, the design combines transitional influences and functional elegance. The harmonious palette and layered textures create an inviting retreat that blends upscale comfort with contemporary style in a fresh, light-filled space.
