About This Project
Material & Feature Breakdown
The shower walls feature medium-format black ceramic tiles with a glossy finish, installed in a striking stacked pattern for a crisp, modern edge. Rectangular shapes (approximately 3x12 inches) create elongated lines and height within the shower area. The shower floor utilizes taupe porcelain planks (about 6x24 inches), laid in a running bond configuration that evokes the warmth and subtle graining of wood, balanced by a matte finish for slip resistance. Contrasting medium-width white grout on the shower walls sharpens the geometric lines, while matching thin taupe grout on the floor offers a seamless, understated look.
This bold and minimalistic shower exemplifies the refined, contemporary aesthetic at the heart of the Noe Valley Residence, a signature project by AT6 Architecture + Design Build in San Francisco, CA. The choice of deep, glossy black tiles on the walls creates a dramatic yet sophisticated focal point, complemented by soft, textured porcelain flooring for both style and safety. This harmonious blend of sleek surfaces and organic undertones produces a visually compelling, functional, and inviting bathroom environment.
