About This Project
Material & Feature Breakdown
The bathroom showcases a dynamic blend of materials and finishes. The floor is covered in medium-sized (8x8) square ceramic tiles, featuring a bold geometric pattern in black and white with a smooth matte finish and straight edges. Wall and shower areas are clad in classic white ceramic subway tiles, sized at 3x6 inches, installed in a stacked horizontal pattern for a streamlined effect. Both wall zones utilize a glossy finish and straight edges, emphasizing a contemporary, polished style. Contrasting grout is used throughout: the floor tiles have medium black grout, while the wall and shower wall tiles utilize thin gray grout for subtle definition.
The Uptown Manhattan Apartment, envisioned by Lauren Rubin Architecture in New York, NY, captures a modern, refined look through its expressive use of graphic tilework. The strong geometric floor adds bold visual interest and anchors the space, while the pristine subway tiles keep the overall atmosphere clean and bright. This composition perfectly balances contemporary edge with timeless appeal, resulting in a bathroom that is both stylish and enduring in the heart of Manhattan.
