About This Project
Material & Feature Breakdown
The kitchen backsplash utilizes a dynamic combination of surfaces. The primary field tiles are medium-sized blue ceramic tiles in a classic rectangle shape with a glossy finish, arranged in a stacked pattern with straight and rectified edges. The central focal point is a vibrant decorative glass mural tile, featuring irregular sizing and multicolored, lively imagery. Grout is applied in a contrasting white tone with medium spacing, visually separating the tiles for definition and impact. The overall composition results in a smooth texture with a strong decorative and eclectic look tailored for a kitchen environment.
Bringing a splash of energy and sophisticated playfulness, the LAKESHORE DRIVE-ECLECTIC WESTLAKE LIVING/DINING ROOM REDESIGN by Allison Jaffe Interior Design LLC in Austin, TX, brilliantly showcases how an artful backsplash transforms a kitchen into an expressive focal point. The combination of deep blue glossy surfaces and an artistically designed mural injects color and contemporary personality, creating a one-of-a-kind culinary space that blends functionality with inspiring aesthetic appeal.
