Modern Stacked Stone Fireplace Tile

Material & Feature Breakdown

The featured fireplace in this living room showcases natural stone tiles in a stacked pattern, arranged primarily on the vertical fireplace surface. These tiles consist of honed finishes with a mix of subtle gray, beige, and taupe tones, each piece offering a blend of rectangle and irregular shapes for a visually varied surface. Medium-sized tiles, approximately 4x12 inches, are stacked tightly with thin, contrasting gray grout joints that accentuate the texture and depth. The rough, tumbled, and slightly irregular edges further the rustic appeal without losing modern refinement. The stone look is enhanced by a textured relief, offering a tactile and visually interesting focal point in the space.

Embodying the rustic-meets-modern ethos at the heart of the Bright Art Collector's Space, this living room—crafted by CIRCLE Design Studio in Roanoke, VA—balances curated art with architectural style. The natural stone fireplace provides a statement centerpiece, bringing structure and a sophisticated, textural warmth that anchors the seating area and complements the surrounding materials and decor.
