About This Project
Material & Feature Breakdown
The bathroom showcases a combination of white glossy ceramic subway tiles on shower walls and bathroom walls, featuring a beveled edge for subtle dimensionality. The floor and shower floor are covered with matte marble mosaic tiles, arranged in a striking hexagon pattern with penny round inserts in white, gray, and black tones. Subway tiles are sized at approximately 3x6 inches, while the floor mosaics present small-scale detailing, creating modern classic visual interest. Grout lines are thin and contrasting—using gray for mosaics and white for subway tiles—to sharply define the tile outlines and geometric patterns.
The overall atmosphere of this bathroom is transitional and bright, with clean lines and timeless details characteristic of the Craftsman Remodel project by Alison Interiors, based in Encinitas, CA. The interplay of classic subway walls and intricate marble mosaics on the floor provides a balance between tradition and modern flair, elevating both function and visual appeal in this refreshing bathroom update.
